Booking your portrait session

Taking the first step towards getting some stunning pieces of artwork for your home really isn’t that difficult. However, it is helpful if you’re clear on a few things before you go ahead…

Firstly, it’s important that you know what you want to achieve from the session. Think about what the main reason is for booking the session?

  • Do you want to update your family portrait on the lounge wall or get gifts for the family, for example?
  • Is it just the kids that you want to capture before they grow up much more?
  • Or, perhaps, is it Gran’s 80th birthday and you’d like to capture the whole family together as a gift for her?

The reasons are endless, but knowing specifically why you want to get it done in the first place can really help ensure we capture exactly what you want from it. It gives us a great goal to work to!

Once the ‘why’ is sorted, the ‘where’ and the ‘when’ are the next questions to think about. Start by comparing diaries with everyone involved and get two or three dates that you could all make. This makes the booking process so much easier.

And the ‘where’ – remember we come to you, so have a think about where you’d like to hold your family portrait session. Is there somewhere that’s special to you all – a beach? A park? A field where you walk your dog, even? Again, there are so many options and it’s entirely up to you. You could, of course, just opt to stay in the comfort of your own home – and that’s absolutely fine too!

So that’s the difficult bit done… the next bit is simply to pick up the phone and call us on 07792 816879 / 01633 253086, or complete the form here and we’ll call you! After that, it’ll be easy to find a mutually convenient appointment.

During the booking process, we will also be glad to discuss the specific details of the session. We will find out who’s going to be involved, talk through your ‘why’, ‘where’ and ‘when’ requirements, any special needs or requirements and the package you wish to purchase. We will, of course, also answer all your questions and give you a few hints and tips for the shoot.

Once that’s all done and a date is in the diary, we will send out confirmation of your booking. Payment is taken in full at the session but please do note: Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will incur a £50.00 cancellation fee.
